GOD

​

​God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are of the same essence, nature, and attributes; are co-equal; are one God.

(Genesis 1 and 2, 1 Chronicles 29:10-12, Matthew 3:16-17, 1 Peter 1:2)

AUTHORITY

​

​The Bible is the infallible Word of God. It is the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of humankind and is our only rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 4:4)

JESUS​

​Jesus Christ is the Divine Son of God, conceived through the Holy Spirit, virgin-born, fully God and fully human united in one person, who died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for the sin of humanity. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven where He is now seated, interceding at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. There is no way to the triune God, or everlasting life, apart from Jesus Christ. (Matthew 3:17, Matthew 1:18, 1 Timothy 2:5, Philippians 2:6, Romans 1:4, Romans 8:34, John 14:6, 2 Timothy 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

HOLY SPIRIT

​

​The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, convict humanity of sin, revive believers, and to indwell, guide, instruct, empower, and fill them for Christian growth, life, ministry, and service. (John 14:26, John 16:13-14, John 16:8, Acts 1:8)

HUMANITY

​

Humankind was created in the image of God but fell into sin. Every human is sinful by nature and by practice and needs the Savior to deliver them from the power and penalty of their sin. Salvation is only by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Humans are completely unable to save themselves by self-improvement and good works. (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 3:1-13, Romans 10:9)
